Just like as you, shopping is one of the most popular hobbies in the whole world. I know that you are very curious about the shopping in US. For you, I will focus on the major differences that I felt by my self.
1. Shop assistant
In Korea, there are may shop assistants to help us to buy their products. Even sometimes, they make customers feel tired because they continuously try to follow customers and tell about the products. However, In United States, there are only a few cashiers and assistants. They don’t give us information about their products if we don’t ask. They just look on us. They don’t bother us.
2. Size
People misunderstand about the size. Koreans think shopping malls in US must be much larger than those in Korea. In fact, the size of the malls are almost similar. The big difference is the shape. Korean shopping malls are high and narrow. US shopping malls are low and wide.
3. Price
Prices in brand new shops are almost same. On the other hand, products in outlet malls in US are more inexpensive than those in Korea regardless of the high exchange rate. In US, wide spread clearance sales make the price lower and lower.
