Friday, my host mom Naomi was not at home, so my host father Bob had to do diner for us. He is not good at cook, so he decided to eat dinner at restaurant. My partner Yeon-Ju and I didn’t know what to choose. Finally, Bob recommended Pizza and we went the Pizza restaurant(I can’t remember the restaurant’s name).
At restaurant, my partner and I wanted to eat American style’s Pizza because we thought that Pizza in here is very different from the Korean’s one. Bob chose the all the menu. When the pizza came to our table, I found that it was not very different from the pizza in Korea. The form and smell of it was very similar but taste was a little bit different. Like the other American’s food, It had very strong taste of cheese. I don’t like cheese so I have a hard time in eating. But the pizza was okay to eat.
I was surprised at the various size in Pizza. In Korea, the size of the Pizza only restricted in 3, small, medium and large one for family. But in America, there are many size and we can choose the piece’s number in a round. Also, we eat pizza between the meals, not the main meals in Korea. On the other hand, most Americans enjoy pizza as a meal. As that time, it was about 6 and many people were in the restaurant for dinner. I think Food is the main different part in culture.
I think the pizza in the U.S tastes little bit salty!
